One of the most famous Japanese souvenir is definitely MOMIJI MANJU.（maybe）
It comes from Hiroshima.
I didn’t know that but I found new MOMIJI MANJU this time.
This is called NAMA MOMIJI.（生もみじ）
What does NAMA（生） mean?
What is the difference between NAMA MOMIJI and standard MOMIJI MANJU?

At first, NAMA MOMIJI is very sensitive so they are on a plate each.

Both they have Anko（sweetened red bean paste）in it.
NAMA MOMIJI’s Anko is more 〝sticky〟 than standard MOMIJI’s Anko.

I actually can’t choose because both are completely different taste and texture.
You should buy both but if you need to choose one of them, I recommend standard one.
Because it is very traditional taste and everyone love it especially elder people.
Moreover, NAMA MOMIJI’s the best of eat is sooner than standard one.
If you are going to another city or you can’t have them soon, standard MOMIJI is better.
They are only 110kcal each.
The calorie is lower than I expected.

By the way, when we have a green tea（literally tea, not MOMIJI）, we don’t use boiled water.
We usually use 100℃ water for English tea but 70℃ is the best temperature to extract green tea original flavour and tastes.
For that reason we pour boiled water in a teacup to let cool it.
